Service Update:

Waste Collection Labour Dispute in Peel Region

BRAMPTON, ON [Nov. 17, 2016] – Some residents in the Cities of Brampton, Mississauga and the Town of Caledon are advised that they will likely experience waste collection delays as a result of the labour dispute involving one of Peel’s waste collection contractors.

Please refer to the maps that show the areas that will likely experience waste collection delays. Residents serviced by Peel’s other collection contractor should be unaffected by this labour dispute.

Residents are asked to:

* continue following their regular collection schedule;

* leave any missed collection material at the curb; or

* bring their waste to a Community Recycling Centre where they can drop off garbage, recycling, yard waste, and organics for free and hours of operation will be extended

Residents are reminded that the by-law against illegal dumping will continue to be enforced.

The Region of Peel asks residents for their patience as all efforts will be made to pick up waste in a timely manner.
